Brian and the Sheep

Brian and the Sheep

Brian: “How can you call yourselves fighting mongooses when you all think and act alike, just like a flock of sheep? You are all individual animals, and you should start acting that way!”

Drunk ewe: “I’ve probably had twice the legal alcohol limit for a human, let alone a sheep, but one more little Irish car bomb couldn’t hurt.”

Acrylic on canvas.

Inspired by the “we’re all individuals” scene in “The Life of Brian.”

Permanently Funny

Permanently Funny - Four Cleeses

Pop art-styled depiction of John Cleese in four roles (clockwise from top left: Basil Fawlty, the Black Knight, the Centurion from “The Life of Brian”, Archie Leach from “A Fish Called Wanda”). Ultramarine, violet, crimson red, and grass green colored pencils on white copy paper.

For something different, I made linoleum carvings of each character, placed them underneath the paper, and used the colored pencils to make rubbings.
